Durban man arrested after wife found buried in backyard of their Australian home

 

A KwaZulu-Natal man living in Australia has been denied bail after being arrested for his wife’s murder.

Ahmed Dawood Seedat, 36, formerly from Durban, was charged with killing his wife Fahima Yusuf, 32, after her body was found buried in a shallow grave in the backyard of their home in Carlisle, Perth, last Wednesday.

According to a local news station, Seedat, had allegedly bludgeoned to death the mother-of-two, a British national.

She was last seen alive on August 31 and was reported missing by a family member.

Seedat was remanded in custody when he appeared in the Perth Magistrate’s Court this week. He will appear again in the Stirling Gardens Magistrate’s Court on September 26.

The children have been placed in the care of her family.
